First Element Consultancy BV is a Dutch based company which was founded in 2006.

The drive to start the company was mainly triggered by the increasing demand for professionals with a proven track record that could oversee, advice and guide the implementation of multi-disciplinary and complex projects such as Basel II or Solvency II.

Together, the founders of First Element Consultancy BV are active in the financial sector for more nearly 30 years. We have been active in most areas within a bank and therefore cover all disciplines and products, such as: accounting and reporting, treasury, fixed income, equities, derivatives, payments, asset management, mid- and/or back-office, settlements.

Furthermore we have been active in re-organization processes, (interim) management, project management, implementation of core systems for trading, reporting, reconciliation, accounting and payments (e.g. Swift).

Although our focus is the business, we have been involved with the technical (IT) side of the banking and financial services. We, often, have been and are the intermediary between business and IT. Because we understand the wishes and demands from the business and can easily translate it to IT. Hence, functional design is an area we also cover.
